James Edgar

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Edgar is a Sir Henry Dale Fellow and Group Leader at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge, UK. His lab has a unique approach to endosome and exosome cell biology utilizing a mixture of biochemical and ultrastructural imaging techniques to study cell biology. Current projects range from fundamental cell biology of tetherin trafficking, the mechanisms of tetherin downregulation by SARS-CoV-2, and the role that exosomes play in immune presentation. Dr. Edgar was a postdoctoral research associate at the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research, University of Cambridge, UK. He received his PhD from University College, London, UK.
